Regular and Recurring Programs

Nature Walk Saturdays

Join our weekly nature walk series!  Times and subjects will vary but (weather permitting) there will always be a nature walk in FDR Park on Saturdays from April through September.  Come out to learn more about butterflies, trees, bats, and wildflowers.

Specifics of the walk- including time and subject will be added to the calendar as it gets closer to the date of walk.

Archery

Curious about archery? Please join us every week for beginner-friendly sessions, at the only totally cost-free outdoor archery range in the city. At our range:

  • Pre-registration is not necessary. Walk up, First Come, First Served.

  • All equipment provided, no outside bows allowed. Due to the nature of our bows, we recommend this activity for ages 10 and up. However, for safety's sake, final calls regarding ability to shoot is up to the session's Rangekeeper, based on height, weight, and strength of the individual.

  • Certified instructors to walk you through your first shot

Archery has moved to baseball field #4 next to the American Swedish Historical Museum
